Our Background & Mission

Hardware Engineering Rooted in Regional Australia

Sense Layer Hub provides physical diagnostic training, thermal engineering, and electrical compliance education designed for Australian computing and mining operators.

Established 2021 • Dawson, Victoria

Our Origin & Company History

Sense Layer Hub Pty Ltd was established in 2021 in Dawson, Victoria (ABN 84 639 210 495). The company was founded by hardware repair engineer Marcus Thorne and electrical power specialist Elena Vance after observing the persistent operational hurdles facing Australian mining operators.

During the hot Australian summer of 2021, mining facilities across regional Victoria and New South Wales suffered catastrophic hardware failures due to ambient heat throttling and inadequate power distribution engineering. At the time, operators were forced to ship damaged hashboards to overseas repair centers, incurring 8-week delays and thousands of dollars in freight and replacement costs.

Sense Layer Hub established a dedicated diagnostic training lab in Dawson to build local Australian hardware repair capacity. Since our inception, we have trained dozens of facility technicians, solar farm operators, and independent enthusiasts to diagnose, repair, and engineer robust high-density computing infrastructure.

Our Operating Philosophy

Principles of Applied Engineering

Physical Evidence

Every concept we teach is demonstrated on real hardware under live thermal and electrical loads. We test with oscilloscopes, calibrated multimeters, and thermal imagers rather than relying on theoretical assumptions.

Rigorous Safety & Code

Continuous 24/7 high-density computing demands uncompromising adherence to Australian electrical safety standards (AS/NZS 3000). We prioritize harmonic mitigation, breaker curves, and thermal protection above all else.

Local Self-Reliance

We empower Australian operators to troubleshoot, rework, and service their own machines locally, cutting out long overseas turnaround times and reducing electronic waste.
